Dream of the Day

Mood: fantastical | Archetype: Innocent
Elements: ubiquitous coil rot

Dream Illustration

I was somewhere vast and softly lit, a place of endless, muted colors. Everywhere I looked, from the ground beneath my bare feet to the distant, hazy horizon, there stretched an intricate, delicate coil. It shimmered with an almost invisible energy, woven into the very fabric of existence, like veins of light in a silent, cosmic tree. There was no beginning or end to it, just its gentle, all-encompassing presence. I felt no fear, only a curious, quiet understanding that it simply *was*. I wanted to touch it, not to harm, but to feel its truth, to know its simplicity.

My fingers, small and innocent, brushed against a strand near my feet. Immediately, a wondrous change began. It wasn't decay in a foul sense, but a whisper-soft unraveling. The coil, where I touched it, began to release tiny motes of golden dust, shimmering like fireflies returning to pure light. A faint, sweet scent, like damp earth after a spring rain, filled the air. It felt utterly natural, a quiet correction, as if I was helping it remember its original form, before it had grown so tangled and vast. I watched, mesmerized, a deep sense of rightness filling me.

As more and more of the coil dissolved into sparkling dust and sweet air, the vast landscape around me seemed to lighten, to breathe. Colors became clearer, fresher, like the first dawn. I felt a profound peace, a child-like joy in bringing things back to their most pristine state. There was no thought of consequence, only the simple, beautiful act of restoration, a gentle undoing that made the world more pure, more like it was meant to be.
